![]() ![]() Wesley Parker Rosal (born April 25th, 1985), better known by his stage name Wes Parker, is a Scottish DJ, singer, songwriter, record producer, recording artist and remixer. He currently splits his time between Inverness and Los Angeles, and can be seen at the Omnia in Las Vegas early February. Little is known about the reasons for divorce, and news outlets in the past have covered stories on the strained relationship between Antonio and his son. When asked to comment, Parker has stated, "My family is the only thing that's sacred to me. Analyze me, analyze my relationships, but my parents are far outside the sphere of what I'm willing to talk about." Parker attended Inverness Royal Academy and worked at several restaurants including The Riverside Restaurant, Rocpool, and The Castle Tavern. In interviews Parker has stated that if he didn't get involved in music, he would've gone to culinary school. He recorded demos in his parents' basement, moving from Scotland to London in 2002 in hopes of learning about the local electronic music scene. Parker Rosal spent two years before returning to his parents' home in Inverness, stating that his first trip to London included "some of the darkest times" of his life, leading media to speculate about drug and alcohol abuse. Ready for the Weekend debuted in 2011 to a number one spot on the UK Albums Chart. This marked the last album where Parker regularly sang vocals, preferring to focus on the production of the music and relying on guest performers to sing vocals. He is primarily known for his collaboration and remixes with other artists including The Theory Of, Rihanna, Katie Barr, Siego, and Ne-Yo, among many others. In April 2014, Parker took the mainstage of Coachella, drawing the second largest crowd, topped only by Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre. He has headlined a slew of musical festivals including Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits Music Festival, the iTunes Festival in London, Electric Daisy Carnival and the iHeartRadio Music Festival. Parker has long running DJ residencies deals across the globe. In 2012, he signed with Wynn Las Vegas. In 2013, he signed with Hakkasan Group in Las Vegas. Playing 46 dates over the period of 20-months. 2015 called for the extension of his partnernship with Hakkasan Group for three months years, which expanded to include Hakkasan nightclub, Wet Republic, and Omnia Nightclub at Caesars Palace. His partnership expanded to become the Group's global music consultant for its restaurants, nightclubs, and hotels. Parker Rosal considers himself to be a straight edge and has vocalized that he abstains from all drug and alcohol use. Many people believe this change came from his first stint in London, where he has remarked about the difficult time and lack of money he had during that time. Although he has been linked with various women throughout his career, he has admitted to playing with the media stating, "Sometimes I'll do things just to egg them on. It's funny how quickly people will jump on one picture or one thing you said. Suddenly, I'm married and living in Brazil. It's hilarious."
